By Air:
There is no direct air link to Allahabad . However, the near Airports are Varanasi (147 kms.) and Lucknow (210 kms.). Bamrauli airport lies 18 kms out of the city. At the time of writing, no commercial airlines operate to Allahabad . The closest operational airport is at Varanasi , which is four hours away by road.

By Road:
Allahabad is on National Highways 2 and 27 . National Highway 2 runs through the center of the city. Allahabad is located in between Delhi and Kolkata on this highway. Another highway that links Allahabad is National Highway 27 that is 93 km long and starts at Allahabad and ends at Mangawan in Madhya Pradesh. There are other highways that link Allahabad to all parts of the country. Allahabad also has three bus stations catering to different routes - at Zero Road , Leader Road and Civil Lines.

By Rail :
The city has direct rail connections with important cities viz. Calcutta , Delhi , Patna , Guwahati, Chennai, Mumbai, Gwalior , Meerut , Lucknow , Kanpur and Varanasi .
