Taxis, Buses, Rickshaws and Tongas . There are metered rickshaws and taxis plying in the cities and although they never run on meter, they are religiously placed there for comic comfort.

There are city bus services in Lucknow and the State transport buses which you do not want to travel by unless you are a local or are reasonably acquainted with public transport in these parts and are comfortable with travelling this way.

In summers, the heat can get quite ridiculous and if affordable, a rented car is most recommended.
